Excerpt from observation of Zoe A. Tyler at Childsplay Theatre in a theatre class
Really clear directions, good wait time, super patient, kind, enthusiastic instructor. Very affirming to all students, off-track comments, etc. while also effectively redirecting. Manages conflict between children very well. Gets down on their level, no blame, just accountability and acknowledgement, affirms both parties – this was beautiful to watch…… I give the instructor credit for this in setting up a space where students felt free and comfortable to be themselves and have their emotions, while still feeling like part of a community they were accountable to. Brava!”
