Murder at the Dreamhouse – Director

Zoe A. Tyler was Director alongside Gio Delgado Ferreira in the devised show Murder at the Dreamhouse, co-created with students in Acting Level 3 Carol Duval Whiteman Conservatory program at Childsplay Theatre Inc. This show explores a world where dolls live among humans. Beach Barbie throws Nerdy Ken a Discontinuation (retirement) party in her perfectly perfect home in Malibu when a murderer strikes.

One of Zoe’s favorite memories from this production was devising each character with students using Moise Kaufman’s 5 Elements method, focusing on the costumes’ pink, Barbie aesthetic.
