Funnyhouse of a Negro – Wig Designer

Zoe A. Tyler was Wig Designer for the University of Missouri’s production of Funnyhouse of a Negro by Adrienne Kennedy. This was Zoe’s first show as a designer, and she had to tackle how to create a wig that allows for clumps of hair to fall out. Designer Maddie Bunten and Zoe created wigs that utilized magnets for actors to pull clumps of their hair out, a creative yet innovative solution.

Zoe’s favorite memory from this production was seeing the entire cast during the first dress-rehearsal bringing such experimental designs to life.
